The International University of Santa Claus has come under fire for taking a group of professional Santas to a brothel museum in Skagway, Alaska during a recent “School4Santa.” In recent weeks the same group received a lot of publicity for their travels to North Pole, Alaska. Now their extracurricular activities are being questioned — as is their judgment in associating the images of Santa Claus with prostitution.
The story, launched today at DefendingSanta.com, began with an image published in the Skagway News under the headling “Ho, Ho, Ho!” showing a group of visiting Santa’s — in full yuletide uniform posing with provocatively clad brothel museum employees.
The International University of Santa Claus, led by “Santa” Tim Connaghan, sponsors workshops across the country designed to teach professional Santas the business, history and ethical standards of the professional Santa Claus.
